Brewing Grains and Malts from Get Er Brewed

Brewing grains, or malt, are the foundation of beer and can make or break a brew. They are responsible for the fermentable sugars, some of the flavours and aromas, and the colour of beer.

Consistency is the name of the game. If you are confident that your ingredients will produce consistent results, you're on your way to making a perfect brew every time. Malts play an essential part in consistency in brewing. Your final ABV and EBC will all depend on your grain; if you are not using fresh-quality grains, who knows what you will get?

Our malt suppliers pride themselves on the excellence of their products. Their processes and procedures ensure they produce quality malts with consistent results. Our quick turnaround in stock ensures you always get the freshest malts, a factor we consider when choosing which malts to stock.

The malted barley that Get Er Brewed supplies is sourced from the leaders in the industry. Through our knowledge and experience, we know what breweries want from their malt. We have selected only the best manufacturers from across the world. Our malt suppliers only produce top-quality malts, with industry-leading technical support from their talented team of technical and master brewers.

Brewers demand consistency and quality from their malts, which is our focus. Our suppliers have been in the industry for many years. They have developed world-leading technology to ensure the best quality without compromise, ensuring their malts yield consistent results.

All our malts are professionally handed from the manufacturer to your door. Our 25kg grain bags are stored at our premises, packed and shipped to you.

Geterbrewed acts as a malt distributor for some of the largest maltings in the world. They hold significant stock in their malt distribution warehouse for the many breweries they supply in Ireland. Malt isn't only about impacting your beer's colour, flavour and body. It's essential to look at the extract, the make-up of the grist, the wort ferment ability, and not forgetting how it's stored and milled. Geterbrewed takes pride in providing fresh malt due to the high malt stock turnover. Plus, we crush malt fresh when it's dispatched and use sieves to check the consistency of the crush. We have a large malt storage area and know how to handle the malt correctly. Traceability is also vital for our pro brewer customers; we have the entire audit trail.

The other key brewing elements to making great beer:

All Grain Brewing Water

Get to know your water report. First, you want to remove Chlorine or Chloramine, then look at the alkalinity by checking your mash pH, aiming for 5.2 to 5.4ph. It's time to look at the other ions in your water: calcium, magnesium, chloride, and Sulphate. We can help you adjust your water chemistry with the chemicals and salts we stock, and water calculators help with the quantities. Chloride and Sulphate are the ions that work together to determine the flavour and character of your beer.

Hop Pellets for Homebrew & Microbrewery

You want hops for their bitterness, flavour, and aroma. Hop oils contribute more than hop aroma to beer. They help with mouthfeel, foam, lacing, and flavour stability. Hops also have unique antimicrobial properties, so they protect and preserve beer. All hop pellets are correctly cold-stored and nitrogen-flushed in foil packaging.

Dried Yeast & Liquid Yeast for Brewers

Geterbrewed distributes Lallemand yeast to microbreweries in the UK and Ireland. We also stock an extensive range of dried and liquid yeasts for homebrewers, including Fermentis, AEB, Mangrove Jacks, Lallemand, Bioferm, Brewferm, White Labs, and Wyeast. We have strains of yeast that will allow you to brew every possible beer style, including a diverse range of bacteria for sour beers.

The sheer size of the range of brewing ingredients we stock is available in any quantity, from homebrew-size recipes to tonne malt sacks for the largest breweries in the country.
