In Tension is a barrel-aged rhubarb saison from Our Brewery, built around balance, dryness, and restraint rather than sweetness or fruit-forward intensity.

About the Beer

Brewed as a saison and aged for extended time before release, this beer was matured for 21 months in Moscatel barrels before being transferred onto rhubarb for a further three months. It was then bottle conditioned and rested until carbonation reached the right level.

Rhubarb adds a clean, linear acidity that lifts the beer without dominating it, while oak ageing softens the edges and allows the saison character to remain dry, lightly spiced, and food-friendly.

Tasting Notes

Bright acidity, subtle spice, gentle oak, and a crisp, drying finish. Sharp in places, but always controlled.
