Nagardo® Sachets – Natural Antimicrobial Protection for Non-Alcoholic Beer

NOTE: For Ireland & the European Union only

Nagardo® Sachets provide a natural and highly effective way to microbiologically protect non-alcoholic (NA) beer and other low-pH beverages. Derived from the edible mushroom Sweet Osmanthus Ear (Dacryopinax spathularia), Nagardo® is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent designed specifically for grain-based and soft drink applications.

Natural Preservative for Non-Alcoholic Beer

Nagardo® is a purified mixture of naturally occurring glycolipids obtained from a non-GMO proprietary wild-type strain cultivated using renewable raw materials. The extraction process is solvent-free and food-grade, with no chemical modification.

  • Non-GMO production strain
  • Free from known allergens
  • No impact on colour or taste
  • Enables consumer-friendly labelling (subject to local legislation)
  • Certified Kosher (OU) and Halal

Efficient Broad-Spectrum Antimicrobial Protection

Nagardo® shows strong efficacy against beverage spoilage microorganisms including yeasts, moulds and bacteria. It is chemically stable across a pH range of 2.5–7, with optimal effectiveness between pH 2.5–4.6.

  • Up to 50 times more efficient than traditional chemical preservatives
  • Effective against adapted or preservative-resistant microorganisms
  • Works by interacting with microbial cell membranes
  • Recommended dosage must be determined per beverage type

  • Kombucha beverages
  • Probiotic drinks
