Clove 28g

They are renowned for providing their uniquely warm, sweet and aromatic taste to beers

Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) is a tree native to Indonesia. Its dried flower buds are a popular spice used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. Clove oils, dried flower buds, leaves, and stems are used to make medicine. Clove oil contains eugenol, which might help decrease pain and fight infections. Clove is also a popular ingredient in cigarettes. People commonly use clove for toothache, pain during dental work, dental plaque, hangover, indigestion, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.

Cloves add a deep, rich flavour; they are excellent in beer, especially Christmas ales, with other spices in the mix.

You might try to add a dash (no more!) of cloves to a hefeweizen to accent the clove character of the Weizen beer yeast, which tends to come out when this style is fermented at the lower end of the temperature range. This is one of the more practical ways of using spices in beer. Cloves also work nicely in winter spiced ales.
